From humble beginnings in 2002, Brixham Pirate Festival has grown into a much-loved celebration of pirates, maritime heritage, live entertainment and community spirit.
For 25 years, pirates, performers, volunteers, businesses and visitors have descended on Brixham to create something quite extraordinary — and in 2027, we’ll be celebrating the people, memories and adventures that have made BPF what it is today.

From humble beginnings to 25 years of pirate adventures...
In 2002, a small group of Brixham locals set out to bring some excitement to the May Bank Holiday weekend. Little did they know they were launching what would become one of the world's most celebrated pirate gatherings!
Over the past 25 years, Brixham Pirate Festival has grown into a spectacular celebration of maritime heritage, music, community spirit and swashbuckling fun, welcoming thousands of visitors from across the UK and beyond.
As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2027, we honour the people, passion and pirate spirit that have made this extraordinary adventure possible.
