Our friendly and inclusive team supports a wide range of activities, from welcoming visitors and providing information to assisting with event operations and helping behind the scenes.
You don't need to be an experienced pirate — just bring a positive attitude, a willingness to help and a sense of adventure!
Children's Workshops & Activities
Help Little Pirates Make Big Memories!
Do you tell stories, lead creative workshops, make pirate hats or mermaid crowns, or bring history to life?
We're always keen to hear from imaginative people who can help create exciting experiences for our youngest visitors.
Activities should be suitable for children aged 12 and under, with an emphasis on fun, creativity and participation.
We particularly welcome ideas that incorporate natural, recycled or sustainable materials.
Whether your talents lie in storytelling, crafts, performance or interactive activities, we'd love to hear your ideas!
Festival Decorations
Help Transform Brixham into a Pirate Paradise!
Have you got a creative streak and a love of making things?
Our decorations crew helps bring the festival atmosphere to life, creating colourful displays and imaginative touches around the town.
We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable volunteers with creative or practical skills who enjoy working collaboratively.
From planning and making decorations to helping install them, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved.

Come Along to a Monthly Parlay!
Meet the Crew Before Ye Join!
Not sure whether volunteering is for you? Why not come along to one of our monthly Captain's Parlays and find out what we're all about?
Our Parlays are friendly, informal gatherings where pirates, volunteers, supporters and newcomers get together to catch up, share ideas and hear the latest festival news.
They're a great opportunity to meet some of the crew, ask questions, discover the different ways to get involved and see whether pirate life is for you — with absolutely no obligation to sign up!
Whether you're a seasoned pirate or simply curious about joining the adventure, you'll receive a warm welcome.
Everyone is welcome — no pirate costume required!
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for details of the next Parlay, including the date, time and location.
